The UDY-2 Voice Keyer digital voice keyer amateur radio software utility integrates many popular voice keyer features in one convenient easy to use program. If your station is set up for PSK31 or similar digital modes with an Isoterm or similar interface then your station is most likely already set up for UDY-2 Voice Keyer. What's New? Plenty. See the UDY-2 Voice Keyer new feature list below...

Multiple message groups. UDY-2 Voice Keyer allows creation of numerous user defined message groups that can contain up to four messages each. Create a separate group for each operator, contest, net operation, or band of operation. Once the message groups are created then create up to four messages in each group. It is possible to use messages created with other programs too.

Transmit message loop and delay settings. Each transmit message has it's own loop and delay settings. Set the message loop between 1 to 99 and the message will repeat 1 to 99 times automatically. Set the delay between 1 to 30 and there will be a delay of 1 to 30 seconds between message transmissions. Each message loop and delay setting is stored individually and automatically recalled each time a message group is selected.

Separate station ID message. A separate station ID message is available independent of all message groups.

Receive audio recording capabilities. Record receive audio in a 16 second endless loop for fast recall and playback or save it to a file to analyze or share with others.

Store receive audio buffer contents to a wave file for later playback or to send via e-mail.

Multiple audio quality formats to choose from. Independently select sampling rates between 6000 Kb 8-Bit to 41000 Kb 16-Bit in either Mono or Stereo capture modes for both receive audio and transmit audio.

Keyboard program control. Control receive audio recording and message transmitting functions via the keyboard for more convenience.

2009 New Feature! DDE Control Interface. Several users have asked for the addition of this desirable feature. Developers of contact logging applications and CAT applications can now add control of core functions of UDY-2 Voice Keyer via a DDE control interface directly into their applications. Control of PTT, message group selection, message name selection, transceiver configuration selection and more is now possible with the UDY-2 Voice Keyer DDE control interface.

2009 New Feature! Four transceiver configurations. Up to four separate transceiver configurations can be entered and stored for one click recall. Users can create individual transceiver configurations for transceivers on separate com ports then switch between them with a single click.

2009 New Feature! Use Ham Radio Deluxe for PTT. It is now possible to control a transceiver's PTT through the Ham Radio Deluxe DDE interface. Users can now have Ham Radio Deluxe running for computer automated transceiver control and use UDY-2 Voice Keyer to send pre-recorded voice messages while controlling PTT through Ham Radio Deluxe.

2009 Update! Various features have been updated to work with MS Vista. The help file for UDY-2 Voice Keyer as well as the method for opening the recording and playback mixer controls have been updated to be compatible with MS Vista.

Feature: ID synchs with system clock. After sending the first station ID UDY-2 Voice Keyer will send the next ID at the top of the hour, 10 after, 20 after, 30 after, 40 after or 50 after whichever comes first. Then UDY-2 Voice Keyer will send a station ID every 10 minutes thereafter.

Feature: Menu item to change com port. If you have more than one transceiver to control via UDY-2 Voice Keyer it is now as simple as choosing the desired com port from a popup menu.

Feature: Two new view styles have been added to UDY-2 Voice Keyer. A horizontal toolbar view style and a vertical toolbar view style. The addition of these new view styles allows UDY-2 Voice Keyer to be positioned to the side, above, or below of other applications. Select the links above to view screen shots of these new view styles.

Feature: Stay on Top feature added. This feature addition allows UDY-2 Voice Keyer to float on top of other applications keeping it in view at all times.

Feature: 10 minute ID timer with digital display added. Send a station ID and the10 minute timer begins the count down alerting the user of the next time to ID. At 15 seconds remaining the timers digital display changes color from blue to red.

Feature: Tune-up feature added. A tune button is now available allowing the user to either dead key the transceiver or key the transceiver feeding it with a low level short duty cycle two tone audio for quick tune-ups.

Feature: Adjustable length TX message recording time. The TX Message record times are now adjustable from 4 to 30 seconds of record time for each message.

Feature: RX Loop recording time is now adjustable from 15 to 60 seconds. The RX loop will record from 15 to 60 seconds of audio from off the air.

Feature: Amateur Radio Newsline™ MP3 format news bulletin transmission capabilities. No need to re-record, or reformat the ARN MP3 file just download and  import it into the UDY-2 Voice Keyer news folder and transmit the bulletin. Station ID' s are automatically sent every 10 minutes during bulletin transmission. Use this feature for repeater talk in bulletins at Hamfests and other special events for your repeater, club, or organization..

A: Yes, UDY-2 Voice Keyer is primarily designed to function with transceiver interface modules that use the computers serial port to control keying of the transceiver like the RigBlaster™ or Isoterm interface module and the computers sound card for audio in and audio out of the computer.
     

  2. Q: Will UDY-2 Voice Keyer work with different brands of transceivers? A: Yes, UDY-2 Voice Keyer will work with many brands of transceivers as long as the transceiver accommodates control through a serial transceiver interface system.
     

  3. Q: How does audio from UDY-2 Voice Keyer get to and from my transceiver? A: UDY-2 Voice Keyer uses standard sound card input and output ports for audio. Typically receive audio is routed into the sound card line in port and transmit audio is routed through the sound cards line out port.
     

  4. Q: Can I use messages recorded with other programs with UDY-2 Voice Keyer? A: Yes, Message files of any length created with other programs may be copied into the UDY-2 Voice Keyer message group folders. The only requirement is that they be wave format message files.
     

  5. Q: Does UDY-2 Voice Keyer have a trial period? A: Yes, UDY-2 Voice Keyer is fully functional while unregistered for a maximum of 50 uses lasting 30 minutes each. After 50 uses UDY-2 Voice Keyer requires registration.
     

  6. Q: Does UDY-2 Voice Keyer require registration? A: Yes, UDY-2 Voice Keyer requires registration. A nominal registration fee of $19.95 USD is charged for UDY-2 Voice Keyer registration.
