Q: Is
CS DB Access a
DOS based program? A:
No, CS DB Access is
designed as a 32 bit Windows application and will not run in DOS. CS DB
Access will not run under Windows 3.1. It has been tested on Windows
XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98 and Windows 95.
-
Q: Will
CS DB Access run on Linux?
A: No, Currently
CS DB Access is designed run on Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows ME, and Windows XP.
-
Q: Will
CS DB Access function on non English
versions of Windows? A: This is a case by case issue.
If decimal numbers are expressed the same way English numbers are expressed
with a period like ###.### for 123.456 then it may function as expected. If
a non English version of Windows expresses decimal numbers with a comma
like ###,### for 123.456 then it most likely will not function properly.
If this issue is encountered it cannot be
corrected since I only have English versions of the OS to
write and test software on.
-

No, CS DB Access is fully functional
but requires a registered copy of either Meter Mate, ERP Calculator, or
UDY-2 Voice Keyer to be installed in order to function.

reference sheet may be printed from the help file that explains step-by-step
how to create an antenna system for comparison calculations.
-

6.0 Runtime Files? A: Search on your
system for the file named MSVBVM60.DLL. If the file is there then check the
date it should be dated Saturday, August 18, 2001, 8:00:00 AM. If it is
dated 08/18/2001 or later then your
system should be ready if the file is not there or has an earlier date then
it is recommended that you download and install the VB
60 Runtime Files.
-

provide access to callsign databases for other programs?
A: Yes,
CS DB Access provides access to callsign
databases for other programs via a DDE link. This allows other programs to
access callsign data without actually reading the data directly from the
database.
